As you can see Charlie Brown keeps me company when I write. And if you take a closer look, Pinocchio hangs on the side of the pen rack. It’s a keychain I got from Italy. Well, the truth is Charlie was feeling lonely, so I gave him a friend. Don’t think they get along much, looking at Pinocchio’s body language.

I’ve cleaned up the desk a bit, otherwise, you’ll be seeing a sea of appears, pages and pages of manuscripts. I’ve just completed a thriller, Gun Kiss, which is scheduled to be released on 1 December. No, I didn’t throw away the manuscript but kept it in a file. Who knows? Something it might have some value on eBay.

I chose to put my desk in front of a wall because having a view would distract me from the writing as I have a tendency to daydream a lot. Besides, I dislike talking to the birds outside the window too long. They take up too much of my time. And what’s with the pink wall? Well, I was in a Mediterranean mood a while back, but I don’t think the color came out right. Been too lazy to repaint it. Any suggestions for a colour?

And the handmade brown notebook is where I keep all my notes, including sprung up words in my head that I might use later.

  1. Thank you, Khaled Talib, for sharing your desk and your writing routine with us! What a great read your book sounds! Great cover.

Hmmm. What colour would I pick for your walls? (Just putting my designer head on). Either a red to match your chair. It’s a full on colour, and should keep your writing flow BUZZING along! Or, that nice lime green you have on your printer and chairs. (See I DO look! lol) Green is a much more relaxing colour, but in lime, the shade is still BRIGHT enough to keep you ENERGISED whilst working. 😉
