From the desk of… Annie Woods
My Writing Routine :

Besides being an author, I also have another full-time job, so I have to try and write whenever I can between work, being with my kids and driving them to activities, walking the dog and my running practice. This means that I do most of my writing when the rest of the family is asleep. So this photo of my desk in daylight is a rare one!
Often I get the ideas when I’m out running or when I’m commuting on the subway, so I try to write notes on my iPhone and send to myself, so I remember the ideas and can write them down in the evening. I guess you can tell by looking at my desk that I’m kind of an organized person. I love making lists and need to have things tidy around me.
Another reason for keeping my desk as uncluttered as possible is that I am also super clumsy. I always drop things and spill food and drinks on my clothes. (It even happens that I walk into walls, missing the door opening…) Therefore, the less things I have around me, the less I can break… I do need to have my favorite coffee cup close by though, even if I have spilled one too many cups of coffee on my manuscripts.
I’ve just finished the second book in the Angelheart Saga trilogy (you can see the final proofread on my desk) and I’m so much looking forward to sharing it with my readers! So, at this very moment I’m about to start working on getting the manuscript for the third book in place. I’m kind of procrastinating it a bit though… I know it will be a tough job, as I have to wrap everything up then, not leaving any loose ends and, potentially, have to break a heart or two. I’d love for all of the characters in the book to get their happy ever afters, but I’m not sure I’ll be able to accomplish that. But who knows? The parts about writing a book that I like the most is when the characters takes over, when they kind of creates their own story. So hopefully this writing journey will surprise me as well!
About the Book :
First Came Forever (The Angelheart Saga #1)
First love. A promise of forever. A lie that changes everything.
Backpacking with her high school friends, Erica Lindell’s life takes a thrilling new turn. Meeting the fascinating Sasha Ailes, she can’t help but fall completely and irrevocably in love with him. When he feels the same way about her, Erica finds herself drawn into a fairytale love story that will set her life on a new direction. But Sasha has kept his true identity a secret. Finding out who he really is, Erica must overcome the betrayal and make the hardest choice of her life. Can she give up her own dreams to live in his world, or leave and lose him forever?
First Came Forever is an enchanting, heart-wrenching story about finding true love and the devastating consequences it can lead to. What price is too high to pay, even for love? (less)
