Welcome to our weekly author spotlight feature, “What’s on your desk, Wednesday?” Today we’re getting a peek at the desk of S.N Lemoing, and finding out about her writing routine.
S.N Lemoing’s Writing Routine:
Well, actually ideas come to my mind all the time so I take notes, and when I’m at my desk I first gather all the notes while listening to music.
When I need to develop my writings I make research or look for some inspiration as pictures, paintings, articles.
I’m really concentrated and manage not to go on social networks for a day, and sometimes I will take a look at what is happening for some minutes because it can inspire too! I can write at any time of the day: morning, afternoon and at night. When I’m writing I’m totally absorbed in it.
I think the most important thing is to have great characters, then there are many possibilities. If they have a rich background, rich traits, you can play with these particularities. It can create stories just with their meeting or entwined existences. Then, of course, if you have a great story it’s even better! I start from there, thinking about really cool, complex characters and add drama, love, fun, just as in everyday life.
