Waiting on Wednesday / Can’t Wait Wednesday
Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted here, at Wishful Endings, and my version is a mix of what I’m waiting to read, whether it’s a new release that is not out yet, or an older book on my TBR shelf, which I really want to read but haven’t got around to it yet.
Here’s my ‘Can’t wait to read’, book for this week:
I think I’ve seen a similar film where an ill girl met a boy, fell in love, but could never leave her house because of her illness – and it made me cry at the end. I suspect this will go the same way, but because it’s soon to be a film (next year) I want to make sure I’ve read the book first!
Book details
Five Feet Apart
Soon to be a major motion picture starring Cole Sprouse and Haley Lu Richardson in March 2019!
In this moving story that’s perfect for fans of John Green’s The Fault in Our Stars, two teens fall in love with just one minor complication—they can’t get within a few feet of each other without risking their lives.
Can you love someone you can never touch?
Stella Grant likes to be in control—even though her totally out of control lungs have sent her in and out of the hospital most of her life. At this point, what Stella needs to control most is keeping herself away from anyone or anything that might pass along an infection and jeopardize the possibility of a lung transplant. Six feet apart. No exceptions.
The only thing Will Newman wants to be in control of is getting out of this hospital. He couldn’t care less about his treatments, or a fancy new clinical drug trial. Soon, he’ll turn eighteen and then he’ll be able to unplug all these machines and actually go see the world, not just its hospitals.
Will’s exactly what Stella needs to stay away from. If he so much as breathes on Stella she could lose her spot on the transplant list. Either one of them could die. The only way to stay alive is to stay apart. But suddenly six feet doesn’t feel like safety. It feels like punishment.
What if they could steal back just a little bit of the space their broken lungs have stolen from them? Would five feet apart really be so dangerous if it stops their hearts from breaking too?
What have you been wanting to read?
Is this on your TBR or have you already read it? What your ‘Can’t wait for’ book? Do leet me know in the comments below. Thank you!

Thank you! Have a great week too! X 😀
What a beautiful cover! Seems like it’ll be a tearjerker, but it sounds so good!
Thanks! Yep, I bet it’s a weepy one 😁
This sounds like a cute read with some meaning behind it. I will have to add this one. Good pick!
Mary my CWW!
Great news Mary x
I hope you enjoy this book. I admit I probably won’t pick it up because I didn’t really care for TFIOS but the cover is pretty and I bet lots of people are excited about it!
Oh my gosh, that cover is absolutely gorgeous. And, I think I’ve also read a book/seen a similar movie about the same thing that made me cry too. Gorgeous blog you have here, definitely a new follower.
Stop by my blog and check out my Wishful Wednesday’s post.

Thank you so much for your kind words,Susan! Yes maybe between us we can work out what the other film/book is 🙂 haha!
This does sound really familiar, I think I’ve heard of that movie too. Or if it was a book. anyway this does sound sad but good!
Yes, wish I could remember it. Now when I think of it I do remember a winged horse? Time travel elements? lol
I am in love with this cover! Sounds like this one is going to be a tear-jerker. Hope you enjoy!
Thank you 😀
I’m actually waiting on this book as well (although I didn’t make a post this week). I first heard of the movie’s premise and when I found out that there would be a book i was sold. 😀
Fantastic!!! Great mind , eh? lol 😂
This does sound really sad, but so good! I love that cover.
Brilliant! Hope you get to read this too 😁
OMG, this sounds like a DEFINITE tearjerker! But I think I should read it anyway, because it sure looks like these two stand more of a chance to be together than the couple in “The Fault In Our Stars”. I TOTALLY avoided THAT book and movie!
Btw, that cover is LUSCIOUS. I think I’ll feature it in my weekly beautiful cover meme! Of course, I’ll link back to this post!! 🙂 🙂
I’m adding this one to my Goodreads shelves!! Thanks for putting it on my radar! <3 <3
Thanks as well for commenting on my CWW post, and sorry for the late comment back!! <3 🙂
