Book Beginnings:
With Gilion Dumas of RoseCityReader @GilionDumas
My Thoughts:
Yep, I know I’m a bit late to the “The Breakdown” party, but I had to opportunity to review it recently so I nabbed the chance, as I’d heard so much about the author BA Paris, I didn’t want to miss out!
I’m nearly finished and it’s a great read. I can’t bare to be parted from this book…
Also, I love the book beginning – it really sets the dark tone — with thunder, an echoing crack, hot dense air, and the promise of something happening as she rushes to her car with her phone ringing.
Plus, as an added bonus — the story starts on a Friday! (Spooky).
By the way, I wasn’t sure — until I received this book and started reading — if this was about a car breaking down, or her breakdown. I tried avoid all clues and reviews that might tell me. I’m pleased to say the title hints at both…
O.M.G.
Added: I’m at the last quarter of the book now, and O.M.G. the shock has been revealed and I’m now racing along eager to know what happens, but at the same time I don’t want it to finish!! Now, I have my suspicions how it’s going to end. I hope I am right! *Excited*
Buy It NOW!

Friday 56:
With Fredasvoice @fredalicious and on Instagram as @fredasphotos #Friday56
If you can’t trust yourself, who can you trust?
Cass is having a hard time since the night she saw the car in the woods, on the winding rural road, in the middle of a downpour, with the woman sitting inside―the woman who was killed. She’s been trying to put the crime out of her mind; what could she have done, really? It’s a dangerous road to be on in the middle of a storm. Her husband would be furious if he knew she’d broken her promise not to take that shortcut home. And she probably would only have been hurt herself if she’d stopped.
But since then, she’s been forgetting every little thing: where she left the car, if she took her pills, the alarm code, why she ordered a pram when she doesn’t have a baby.
The only thing she can’t forget is that woman, the woman she might have saved, and the terrible nagging guilt.
Or the silent calls she’s receiving, or the feeling that someone’s watching her…
What are you currently reading?
I can’t wait to find out!
Have a great weekend full of reading.
Luv Sassy
🙂

I LOVED this book (and Behind Closed Doors). There is nothing like a good thriller to keep me curled up on the sofa for most of a day. Thanks for sharing…and here’s mine: “CLOSE YOUR EYES, HOLD HANDS”
This is a new book to me. It sounds intriguing. I have Dead Man’s Bridge by Robert J. Mrazek this week. Happy reading!
