News!
I’m really excited about this book, as I’ve been a Deaver fan for years and I am now going to host the man himself on this blog May 7th, when he tours!! Add this date to your diaries, please!

Also, I have to apologise for not going around many blogs for last week’s meme. I decided to throw myself downstairs and sprain both knees and ankles. No joke. Even working under a laptop was too painful to do…
No, Honestly. It’s not just a lame excuse. I’m actually now lame…
They tell me I’m getting better, each day…. Anyway, enough of my woes, back to the meme!
Here are a couple of sentences from page 56:
Relief immediately replaced panic, though the anger – at himself – remained. Sachs was staring back, somewhat eerily, her eyes focused only in his general direction.
Book Beginnings:
Sitting in the control center of Algonquin Consolidated Power and Lights’s sprawling complex on the East River in Queens, New York, the morning supervisor frowned at the pulsing red words on his computer screen. CRITICAL FAILURE.

Do follow me, and I’ll follow you back. Not to sound like an old technophobe I can’t actually find #Friday56 there… (laughs) Help?

It has been a while since I read Deaver, but I always enjoy his books. Thanks for sharing this one…and for visiting my blog.
You’re welcome, and I have made a huge error above, so my apologies are written below for everyone to see LOL

Thanks, You can’t go wrong with Deaver, unless you quote the wrong book… apologies in comments below… (whoops!)

I’ve never read this author. I keep meaning to but other books jump in line ahead of his. Come see what Grave Visions by Kalayna Price has to offer. Happy reading!
Both books, (see my apology below) are very good… hahaha!

You had me at Deaver…and then the setting sealed the deal. I lived in Queens for a few years. I’m adding this book to my list.
I’ve fallen behind in this series. I’ll be watching for your post in May and hope this one lives up to the series.
My Friday 56 from Ararat
Hi there!
Yep, by now you may have just realised… I’m still reading The Burial Hour, but this is for The Burning Wire… bites lip and stifles a scream…. Apology below!

Wishing you a speedy recovery! Happy weekend!
Okay… I’ve got to point out I made a stupid, stupid error (must be the pain killers lol) and everything I quote above was for The Burning Wire (Lincoln Rhyme #9) published in 2010, NOT his new one! Whoops! I cannot believe I did that! So, please accept my apologies I know it was an ebook /Kindle error, but I should have spotted it earlier. Kicking myself now.
The Burn / The Buri … can you see where I’m going with this? haha!
Anyway, I’ve updated this post to represent the correct book, and given myself a thorough telling off… Sorry for misleading anyone. But rest assured, both books are very good.
Take care, and Happy Monday! Hopefully things can only get better from here on…
Get well soon! Love that opener by the way!
