Just in case you can’t see beyond the first photo, here’s the Friday 56 sentence below:

It’s on my Kindle so it’s locations 56% So not giving too much away here by enlarging the text …

My First Thoughts:

This is another one that’s really intriguing and I’m at that stage where I do not really know where it’s going. Exciting!

Emma in the Night

Blurb:

From the bestselling author of All Is Not Forgotten comes a thriller about two missing sisters, a twisted family, and what happens when one girl comes back…

One night three years ago, the Tanner sisters disappeared: fifteen-year-old Cass and seventeen-year-old Emma. Three years later, Cass returns, without her sister Emma. Her story is one of kidnapping and betrayal, of a mysterious island where the two were held. But to forensic psychiatrist Dr. Abby Winter, something doesn’t add up. Looking deep within this dysfunctional family Dr. Winter uncovers a life where boundaries were violated and a narcissistic parent held sway. And where one sister’s return might just be the beginning of the crime.

  1. Hmmmm! I know what you’re thinking and I’m probably laughing at the same thing as you – in a diplomatic way, of course LOL Thanks, Anne!

  2. Yet another thriller about missing girls! A little different since one girl makes it home. Hope the plot is an original and unusual one. Enjoy!

I loved this book! Hope you will find it as fascinating as I did. Here’s mine: “COLD AS ICE”

    1. That’s a great book, Kathy. I’m intrigued. 🙂

  4. Hi Sassy,

I too have had this book on my radar or some time, as several of my blogging friends have featured it before and managed to pique my interest. The sheer mention of a ‘twisted family’ is enough to grab my attention. At first look they sound like the parents from hell … but if they are that bad then why did Cass choose to return?

A definite one for the shelves, thanks for sharing and Happy Weekend 🙂

    Yvonne

    1. You’re very welcome, Yvonne. Hope you enjoy it. Yes, exactly, why come home if they’re that bad? I’m eager to find out!
