MY FIRST THOUGHTS

Okay, so slightly cheating here, I’m calling this non-fiction (haha!) because it’s a reference book…. but this will also fit better with Science-Fiction month, so with that I’ve posted my very first Science-Fiction Special after all!

I love, love, love this book! It doesn’t matter how much of a fan you are of Star Wars, there is always some background about one of the many characters that you didn’t know or have forgotten! Even if you’ve just watched the films and you’re not a huge fan, you’ll recognise more of these characters than you thought.

Yeah I know this is not everyone’s cup of blue milk (inside joke there ->, check out Bantha Milk ) but I’m loving it!

Star Wars Geektionary: The Galaxy From A To Z – Hardcover

From Alderaan to Zuckuss, the Geektionary is the definitive guide to Star Wars. A must-have gift for any fan.

Satisfy your inner geek with this Star Wars A-Z. Explore the rich history of the Star Wars universe, with entries on the Jedi Order, Sith Order, the rise of the Galactic Empire and the struggle of the Resistance.

This comprehensive dictionary details the epic battles of Scarrif, Endor, Yavin and Naboo. Travel across the galaxy with entries on the jungle world of Dagobah, the desert planets of Jakku and Tattooine, and the urban sprawl of Coruscant. Dive into biopics of some of the best-known characters in the Star Wars canon, as well as some of the lesser known players including Yoda, Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, Wicket the Ewok, and Zuckuss the bounty hunter. Learn about the various types and classes of starfighters, cruisers and star destroyers. Study a range of alien species including Wookiees, Teedos and the fearsome rathtar! And brush up on your droid knowledge with articles on C-3PO, R2-D2, K-2SO, and of course BB8.

With its stunning silver foil cover, portable size and over 400 pages of illustrated entries, the Geektionary is the perfect gift for old and new Star Wars fans.

  1. This does sound like fun. I have a few similar books in my collection for Star Trek, Anne McCaffrey’s Pern and Amelia Peabody’s Egypt and perhaps a few more. This week I am featuring Serpentine by Laurell K. Hamilton – the latest in a long-running urban fantasy series. Happy reading!
