Imagine an event so catastrophic that most people would have trouble keeping their sanity. Bel Jenkins not only kept her sanity, she fell in love with the man who saved her. Now the threat to her has re-emerged as well as her saviour bent on repeating his previous performance.

After that horrendous night, Brody Dunberg quit being a cop and spent all his time building up the business he bought. It wasn’t much of a choice as he’d not only saved Bel, but fallen in love with her. Now the person who created the nightmare for her ten years ago is loose and it seems his only option is to ask Callum, his best friend and lover to help him protect her.

Small town police chief Callum McCloud has always loved Brody and has hoped to have a life with him. Now there’s a chance as he comes to know Bel better that instead of a pair, it just might become the best deal of his life. A guy can only hope.

This had one of the most frighteningly gritty, realistically horrific beginnings to one of the best reads I’ve had in a bit. I read about a woman of uncommon valor, men of selfless integrity, compassion, and a monster who unfortunately resides in far too many places in far too
many towns. It was an intense read full of sultry, erotic sex, fear, despair, and a victory that made me raise my fist and cheer. I was hooked from page one and while I never knew exactly what to expect, Ms. Lynne kept it just “twisted” enough to make me keep reading to see where it went.
