Jade Shimota has no time for men; least ways outside of the time it takes them to make her happy in bed, that is. Her job takes a lot of her time and the only way a man is going to make his way into her life is if he fights his way into it. Not too many takers in that area, until the boss hands her an assignment of a lifetime. Things are about to get not only interesting, but downright hairy.

Having always had it easy when it comes to getting women, Ranulf MacKirnan is not only surprised, but intrigued by the sexy, sassy Jade. There’s nothing like a challenge to get a man’s blood heading south and keeping the interest high. The problem is that Mac is keeping a secret so intense that even he’s not sure if he should ever let it come to light.

Ms. Boyett-Compo took an extremely different premise, added some very complex characters, a twisting plot, steamy sex and turned out a book that not only came across as thoroughly real, but also gripping in a “gotta know what happens” kind of way. If this sounds weird, well the book is after all a futuristic tale and I have to tell you that without giving out any spoilers, it’s a bit hard to tell much other than just when you think you’ve got it figured out, you find out you ain’t (and don’t criticize my grammar, I’m going to make a point…). It’s weird, it’s wonderful, it’s full of great sex and amazing characters and one for the re-read shelf.
