I’m reviewing “What Happened That Night” by Sheila O’Flanagan supplied by the Amazon Vine Programme. Here are my thoughts:
^^ When Lola Fitzpatrick meets Philip Warren of the infamous and very rich Warren jewellers, she cannot believe her luck. Fast forward years later, when their daughter Bey is all grown up and building a life away from the Warren empire. One she is determined to succeed in.
^^ This story is about Lola and her daughter Bey, the trials and tribulations of families and how life doesn’t always go as planned. But strength of character, determination and love, will prevail. If you want something in life, you need to have the courage to go for it.
^^ Besides the heart-warming romance, there’s fact that Sheila provides a well written peek into the lives of jewellery lovers, and I love how she shared her gemstone insights.
Overall: Having only recently been introduced to Sheila O’Flanagan’s work, I was pleasantly surprised by this story. It was even better than the last one I read (If You Were Me), and not what I expected at all. When it comes to love Sheila O’Flanagan certainly has a way with words. “What Happened That Night” had all the elements of a great romance and family drama that you could just sink into, like warm sand on a beach on a hot summer’s day; an ideal place to read this fun easy read.
