Book one in the City of Wolves series Shewolf introduces us to Kyros Bastian leader of the Draco Pack and sister Lyka who mated with Rafael Deccar leader of Lobos de Diablo Pack. Both packs are in located in Memphis and the Pack leaders are trying to establish peace between the two.

Kyros had ordered Miko to protect Talia Thorn. It would certainly help their security business to have that kind of detail. Her father, Parker Thorn was very influential and as long as his daughter was safe he would sing their praises. An endorsement from the richest man in Memphis would solidify all they had been trying to build.

Talia was a werewolf and had been keeping it from her father, who hated werewolves. Ever since his wife was killed by one he had been active in trying to have them all eradicated. She had heard there might be a cure and she was going to meet a stranger named Alec for that information. The meeting was to take place at a bar called The Three Dog Night. She just had to loose her bodyguard and she would make it on time.

There is suspense, murder, territorial battles, rogue werewolves and general family dynamics. There is also intense attraction, for two werewolves who are thrown together by circumstances. They eventually work together to solve the mystery of the werewolf murders, and find their lives closely entwined. A real page turner.
