Moving to Florida after her husband’s death, Elle Reddington discovers that painting landscapes isn’t going to work. The dreams have returned and she misses painting her wolves more than ever. When gorgeous Xavier enters her life—and her bed—things other than sex get really interesting.

Xavier Skye is the Alpha of the Anubinake and knows that Elle is his mate even if she doesn’t. Dealing with outcasts trying to take his “throne” leaves him little time to woo her and explain things her parents’ deaths have left hidden. Time is not only short, but the betrayal more widespread than they know.

Egyptian Gods, shifters, hot sex (really hot sex), betrayal, and an unexpected helping hand in quelling an uprising—all good elements for a great read. A strong woman, a stronger, protective man, and a story that flowed easily and quickly made this for me a really fun read. I do think it would make a good expanded story, but that’s just my opinion.
