Lopaka and Kimo are having twins, but Kimo fears for their babies’ safety, as they will be the greatest Kahuna ever known in the islands. So the family is on vacation visiting sacred sites and being blessed by the gods and goddesses to ensure their safety.

As the surrogate for the Wilder twins, Lopaka’s twin sister Maluhia has one teeny, tiny request; she wants a summer love. It’s just that the lover she has in mind is a tad unusual. It’s to be hoped that Kimo has no problem getting Pele’s brother Kamohoali’i (not sure I’d want to sleep with a shark God, but hey) to cooperate because they certainly want to keep her happy.

This installment is certainly no less entertaining than the first two were and although there are new people added in each, the core remains steadfast throughout. This has only whetted my appetite for more of this intriguing, funny, full-of-history tale that shows that the wonders of magic, beauty, love, laughter, life, and especially family, are sometimes only in how you perceive them.
