Having lost Duse to that piece of corrupt Watcher scum, Asmoday, Skylar has only enough energy to exist in the day to day world raising their son. Her terrible guilt, over longing for another man, has driven her to stay as far away from family as it is possible without denying her son contact. However, all things are not as they seem and there are surprises in the works for her and others.

He’s grieved, gritted his teeth, suffered untold misery, but now he’s had enough. He’s waited long enough for the woman created to complete him. Amid more trials and tribulations at Dunleavy Castle, Jax Ammadon, new King of the Watchers, will make sure that Skylar knows they are one and belong together.

This final in the series was resplendent with the culmination of the love two had denied for so terribly long. This for me was the best, as it brought to light answers and yet in ways, greedy as I am, still left me wanting more. The terrible prices paid, the enduring love, the strengths, weaknesses all combined to create a world in which I could see clearly what actually happened. Thanks for such wonderful reads and hopefully there will be more?
