When local weather anchor Isabella Girardi has one too many blue martinis, she and her friends end up chanting for immortal men since the mortal ones quite frankly aren’t worth spit. Suddenly she’s got scrumptious Gavin as a new employee and a problem in keeping her hands to herself. That’s unfortunately not the weirdest thing happening.

An immortal who’s decided mortals are more interesting, Gavin Haldor has become immersed in not only Isabella’s job, but her life as well. He’s just not certain if or when he should break the news of just how different he truly is.

Gods, Goddesses, outstanding sex, tricky relatives and not enough closets for all the secrets abound in this tale. I thoroughly enjoyed how Ms. Leaf took all the old favorites of mythological fame and wove them through a story of an average family’s struggle to simply co-exist. I eagerly await the stories of the friends; I just know they’re coming—right?
