If ever a name didn’t fit a personality, Temperance Larkin would be the first to agree hers was one. Um, throw in the fact fabulous man is a vamp with another vamp trying to kill him and things could get a bit dicey.

Asher Marriott is a man turned vamp against his will, but even more surprising he’s a cop. He walks in daylight due to his friendship with a powerful witch, Sybylla. With spells and potions, she helps him maintain an almost human existence. In Temperance he has found his sanctuary and no one is going to take that away from him.

Are vamps and witches real; do I think they’re real? No, though there will always be those that believe. But when I read works like this with strong women unafraid to fight for what they want and drop-dead (I know, tacky pun) gorgeous men, it truly makes me wish they were. I enjoyed this immensely and hope the ending means I can look forward to another? And keep the fan on to cool you down because the sex is super!
