Crime is everywhere, but it’s never been as bad as it is now and Julia White, one of Hidden Falls finest, has cases coming at her faster than they ever have before. It’s a good thing she has no time for anything other than her job; until he comes looking for someone that seems familiar, but she can’t put her finger on why.

Having found a woman he believes to be his niece, Jack Madigan has come to Hidden Falls seeking answers to questions he’d thought answered with his brother’s death years before. But things aren’t always what they seem and now he’s found a woman to make him want to truly live again in every way. Is it truly feasible to expect her to want what he does- a new beginning?

I enjoyed this one with it’s steamy encounter at the very beginning to hook you into needing to know what happens next. As the characters begin to fully round out, it’s the interaction of the sub-characters that makes the ending “stranger than fiction”. As my perverted sense of humor happened to like the way the whole tale rounded out, that made it a really fun read. The one thing this wasn’t shy of was steamy, make you weep sex.
