Would you want to spend your life as a tiny sparrow in a world where you’re lunch for bigger birds of prey? That’s the sentence handed down to Princess Cheri Aerchere for breaking a rule in Fae Court. Well, that and not to use magic during her period of exile. But she broke that rule and has to face the consequences.

Riley Hawke was as guilty as Cheri for his part in her exile, but now must bring her back in order to take the stigma off himself and reclaim his caste, but is it really worth giving up the love of his life or is it his destiny to fight to keep her as his mate?

While this is a really sensual read, I found it a wonderful look at simply being an adult and accepting responsibility. Although there is humor, wit, jealousy, betrayal that abounds within, it’s the strength of their bond that makes the tale. A truly good read.
