I am reviewing the book, “Real Focus: Take Control and Start Living the Life You Want” by Psychologies Magazine. Here are my thoughts:
^^ This is a time management book, packed with a lot of information about how to tell what changes can be made in your working life in order to improve your focus; from the usual useful “how to deal with your email” techniques to why procrastination can affect your focus.
^^ As always, with someone like me who reads a lot of these books, there are often points that I have heard before, however, I fully believe that for every book I read there will be some little gem in it, that if I action will make all the difference in the world, which I why I am happy to keep reading these books. It only takes one thing to work…
^^ “Real Focus” one book from a range of self help books by Capstone, which are all a similar size and stand next to each other in an nice even matching line, which I like; makes them very collectable and in a bookish OCD way they look all neat!
Overall: An easy to read book that is based around working life, that can also be used to put steps into practice for achieving greater focus (and ultimately success) with hobbies or jobs where you work from home. There are no ridged rules, just suggestions that can be cleverly changed to suit where needed — depending on your own circumstances and how you think about certain situations psychologically. Worth a read. My book is thoroughly highlighted throughout. Yes I write in notes and highlight books like these to get the most out of them.
