I am reviewing the book, Real Ambition: Quit Dreaming and Create Success Your Way, Psychologies Magazine. Here are my thoughts:
^^ This is nicely put together with a mixture of fact and questions that really get you thinking about ambition.
^^ There are also multiple choice questions, just like those you get in magazines (and this is based on the success of the Psychologies Magazine), but I don’t always agree with these options and truth be told often skip them for the more meatier stuff. I didn’t actually feel they contribute much to the whole book in a way that appeals to me.
^^ That aside, I have so many favourite parts in this book, but if I had to pick one, it would be where they raise the question ‘ Can you learn to be ambitious?’.
^^ As usual with these books I have gone through every page and highlighted the lines that mean something to me, so that when I next pick up the book I can instantly read what matters for a refresher.
^^ This is a book from a range of self help books by Capstone, and I love the way they all look nice together all lined up.
Overall: I’ve collected a lot of these self-help books by Capstone and do like the way they don’t just teach you invaluable information, they also provide ways to really think about the changes you can make to your life with a hands on method so you act upon what you are learning, so you really take it in. I don’t really like how some of the questions provide options I totally agree with, hence the 4 stars, but I do find overall the information provided is very much worth the read. As long as you take action, too.
