Tough guy Isaac Rhodes loves his job. Being an ex-cop turned PI, he now gets to vent his frustrations by kicking in the doors of bail jumpers who think they got away. In fact the only soft thing about him is the part of his heart reserved for his partner, Nate (although, soft is not what he is whenever Nate’s on his mind).

After his partner comes “out” to him, Nate Washington has a tiny, wee problem; he has to return the favor of acknowledging his own feelings for Rhodes. His biggest concern is whether or not he has the guts to endure the prejudice of an “outed” gay man, to live with the other half of his heart. It’s possible a gun to the head might make the decision for him.

I LIKED THEM! As opposite as it’s possible to be this is a tale of hidden meanings, hidden lust, and the misconstrued meandering of two hearts who know no bounds. The sex was great, but it was the struggle to “find” themselves, then admit what they were, which made this a read to really enjoy. I always enjoy the intricate twining of what it takes to make life truly “life”.
