Vamps and witches and weres, Oh, My! For the past three years Marissa Van Dyke has mourned the death of her family who died on Halloween. This year she’s been dragged to a friend’s house to celebrate and figures she can hold on for a bit, then go home. Until a wacky psychic tells her when she’s been saved three times she’ll be free.

While attending the party at his brother’s house, Neil Drigan spots Marissa and knows that he knows her; her scent, her eyes and the smell of mourning she carries upon her. But if he tells her what he really is she’ll run and he’ll never see her again- won’t she?

This takes every facet of every realm of myth and says “we’re hereeee!” and I say wonderful. I hope this is the beginning of a very long series with maybe a couple of longer novels coming in amongst them once or twice. Yes, I’m very greedy! But I have to tell you it’s who does the “police” thing that absolutely tickles me. Plus, the sex ain’t bad either.
