Gina, at 30 is a shy, quiet, older than usual college graduate. A new
apartment and a new neighbor brings an opportunity to explore things she’d wondered about herself but never dared explore.

George is an older man who begins their new relationship by showing Gina that some of the things she’s wondered are in actuality pretty tame compared to what he has planned for her later on. How else would I perceive a man who throws out her lover by climbing into her bed with them?

I found this a compelling look at some of the darker aspects of sex. Is it possible to see such explicit descriptions and not be affected? I found some parts of this a bit hard to take, especially the group part where she is “played” by six men while plied by drugged fruit and wine. And does it because when George asks he promises it will be “just this once”. Yet I was compelled to finish this journey with her. It is a mark of Ms. Rain’s writing skill that I was unable to leave the book until the end. Good reading and great fun.
