Living in a world that balances always on a precipice of disaster, the beautiful “Violet”, elite spy of the Mechanical Rose Society, has many functions. What she is best at is using everything she is to keep her world in balance; fail is not in her nature. Now she must convince one man that his invention must be stopped or he must be.

Leeford Gunn has been disowned, laughed at, scorned, but that’s never stopped him from pursuing the countless things demanding creation in his brain. Until Violet; here’s this woman who actually likes to hear about his thoughts and creations, which makes her twice as sexy than just the out-of-sight body she possesses. But he feels there’s more to
the beauteous Vi than she’s letting on.

I found this a lovely piece of speculative fiction. And the amazing thing for me was the fact of a woman spy being number one instead of playing arm candy to a man. The sex was great, but the reality of the situations plus the suspenseful plot made this a read to the end at one sitting for me. I await further works from Ms. Gray.
