Jack’s Notebook is a Business Novel about Creative Problem Solving by Gregg Fraley, a Creativity and Innovation Expert.

I’ve never read a book like this before, it’s like a training manual in novel form. Throughout the book there is a story where you follow the main character as he works to solve each problem he encounters using Creative Problem Solving techniques, which are explained as you go along. And believe it or not, written the way it is, this unusual feature does not distract you from the story itself. It’s quite a pageturner.

The author uses his story in a novel way to introduce the theory through an entertaining tale full of examples and metaphors, not unlike James Redfield’s Celestine Prophecy. But this feels different in the fact that the premise is that creativity is all about the problem solving, decision making and self expression within daily challenges at home, work and even during relaxation.

Creative Problem Solving (CPS) comes into play as a process for becoming deliberately creative, applying imagination to challenges and ideas, however wild and wacky they may at first appear, as Jack’s Notebook clearly shows us. This is not your average self-help book. Nor is it indeed your average ‘achieve your business goals’ book.

With Gregg Fraley’s deep understanding of CPS, your ideas that may not have at first looked like they could go anywhere, can become a reality. This book, the story and the methods learnt within, appear to be a very useful tool for any sort of problem solving.
