Having inherited her Aunt Ada’s house, Linda “Legs” Anderson is sleeping with Jack, but won’t allow him to spend the night in Ada’s house. Legs says it’s because Ada is still there and doesn’t approve. The entire town is waiting to see if the heat between them is going to blow while they’re in the Special-T cafe where she works.

Having been in love with her since they were kids, Jack has no intention of giving up now that Ada is dead. He’s been making progress with Legs and knows if he pushes too hard he’ll lose her, but it’s hard to fight a dead person who hated him when she lived.

I liked the fact he takes her belief into account even though he didn’t share it. This was for me a bit of a heart-tugger, though I have to say I liked the solution they found. The sex was both yummy and fun, and that’s not a bad thing because it can’t always be intense—too wearing. It was an altogether good read.
