Myrra Lansyr is attacked and left for dead on the side of a
mountain. Visitor to Earth from Ilyria in another dimension, she is a master of weapons and martial arts seeking the four members of the royal line who are here.

Joining forces with the human who rescued her, she finds herself bombarded by emotions usually kept under strict control and harder to remain the frozen, impartial soldier she had been.

Brett Canon is gifted (or cursed) to sometimes “see mysteries”. This time he has seen a blond woman thrown from the sky onto the side of the mountain. He knows that as long as he keeps her with him he will be able to protect her. Evading the enemies seeking both him and her proves to be an exercise not only in patience, but in learning what makes up this woman he’s coming to love. When she tries to leave him behind even the royals she guards will learn that no one can keep him from her.

I found Myrra’s Choice to be a story of two people learning to trust each other as well as their own emotions. It is generously interspersed with duty, honor and a lot of guys trying to blow them to hell. I loved the image of a woman completely able to take care of herself. The fight scenes were great, the sex frequent and hot. I read once that the sign of a great book, movie, etc. is in making you believe it’s real. I think sometimes it may be in making you WISH it were real. Good reading and great fun.
