Making his living giving the Wahine tours of Honolulu, Johnny Kaimana has developed a no strings relationship with roomie Alex. Now he wants more than just the casual; he wants what he threw away once before through his own stupidity—love and a home with one man. Through an incredible mistake he’s brought down a “bundle” curse upon himself and has only one chance to break it with the help of a former lover (Lopaka/Bobby) and his kahuna husband, Kimo Wilder.

Known throughout the islands as the go-to man for any music of any kind, Alex “Aloha” Granger has fallen hard for Johnny, but unfortunately he’s not strong enough to aid Johnny in retrieving the personal article Mahini took to set the curse in motion. It seems Mahini would rather see poor Johnny dead than with Aloha, but neither Alex or Johnny is about to allow that to happen.

Although I saw this starting out as a casual thing, I found it quickly becoming a most complex, convoluted, surprise-ridden story full of the most intriguing facts about the islands thrown in amongst the magic, power, and just plain fun of reading about what Mr. Llewellyn plans for these people next. There’s never a dull moment and I definitely am rooting for all the couples. This has been an awakening to a talent I hope to see more of.
