As an alien ops agent, Samantha was prepared to go to any lengths to cover her partner Calen’s back on this latest undercover mission—even to pretending to be a human sub to a Mage Dom. They had very little time left to rescue Senator Carter’s daughter, Elena, and get enough evidence to close this racket at Club Magan down.

Calen was mage born, but raised to human standards. Only the chief of their department knows the truth regarding who Calen is. When Sam finds out she’ll probably never speak to him again. That’s why he didn’t want her on this latest mission. Not only might she discover a truth about herself that would be hard to accept, but one about him that might cost him both his friend and his partner.

This one had a new element of bondage in the form of contracts between species—yes, I said species. But I have to say the relationship aspects are getting fuller even in the shorter reads. It’s nice to see the focus on two getting to know each other instead of it being all hot, sweaty, steamy sex. Though the scenes of that are yummmmm. Maybe ET could be a good thing?
