Melanie Rodriguez was a vampire hunter. She was one of a team that included vampires, humans, witches and warlocks and even a faerie. At the moment she was on her own in Mexico to remember her family who were slain by vampires. She still remembered the horror of her captivity by the bloodsuckers for weeks before her rescue. When part of the team joins her, Connor is with them.

Connor Bell had come to help his brother Aidan hunt Anton Perdue. He had wanted Melanie from the moment he saw her in New Orleans. But when the passion flared and his fangs lowered, Melanie had jumped back. He did not know how to handle her fear so he left. Learning while away from her that he did not want to exist without her, he hurried back to New Orleans only to find she was gone. But he would find her and try to win her back.

This is a wonderful addition to the Witches Knot series. The evil Anton is being hunted and Melanie can get her revenge for the torture he put her and Simone through in “Thrice United”, book 4. There is the struggle to take care of Anton, as well as Melanie’s struggle to forgive Connor for leaving her. This is very touching and loaded with great sex. I can’t wait for the next addition to the Witches Knot series.
