It seems to Rory that since the vampires have “come out” to the public they’re taking over everything. They even have their own brothels where humans can go to experience a little more exotic loving. So if he’s as phobic as he is, why is he sitting in Eclipse with his friend Dennis? And why is he so drawn to a truly beautiful Carden? Dennis figured a night at Eclipse would be a rockin good time, not become an addiction to a certain vampire who disliked humans. How does one win the heart of a being who doesn’t believe in love or the fact that he can be wanted for something other than just sex?

What happens when you pair a poet, romanticist with a realist to write a series of books together? You can sometimes get a really interesting, sometimes gritty, love usually triumphs (but it’s hard work) story that is so well written that sometimes you’re not sure who wrote which parts (which is what should happen). Such was the case with Blood Eclipse, which is not the first tale written by this duo.The complexities they have begun to weave in this tale promise entertainment for time to come as they slowly build tension, lust, romance and vengeance to it’s final conclusion. I like Mr. Manly’s style of realistic, life at it’s darkest style; while Mr. Llewellyn’s romantic, happily ever after gives this a leavening which not only lightens it, but makes it a totally emotive tale. Now to get to book two ????? In other words I truly enjoyed this one and am anxiously awaiting the next.
