Know what a red-headed step-child is? Rafe does since he’s got a Witch for a mother and a Vampire for a pop; only his brothers and one other person know this or he’d be a dead “step-child”. For as long as recorded time, halflings have never been allowed to live. Now he’s got a sassy witch threatening to expose him and a warlock calling him the savior of the world.

Morgan has been sent by Rafe’s mother to bring him back to the coven. What wasn’t part of the job was falling for the lanky loner and wanting him for herself. She despairs of ever getting him to meet the woman who gave birth to him, let alone gaining any portion of his heart for herself.

Dominic is the warlock who tells Rafe that he is the one to “save the world”. The things he tells Rafe are portents that come true and force Rafe to face the possibility that his future may not be his to command. Besides which, Dominic has plans of his own for the loner halfling that include all three of them.

Isn’t it wonderful how sometimes mixing what makes us enemies can create someone who can truly make a difference. The premise was interesting, the story well written and the characters were sassy, sexy and brooding enough to hold the interest while the sex was steamy. I liked the sub-characters and the fact that the mains stayed true to form. I’m eagerly awaiting the next in the series. The “Inside Story” by Sassy Brit and her Gang!
