Darcy has always been in control. He had to be. He had assumed responsibility for his younger brother Martin when their parents died. Now Martin was getting married and he insisted that Darcy have a date for his wedding.

Without Darcy’s knowledge Martin goes looking for a date for his big brother in the personals. But he slips up and punches in the wrong number.

Darcy reluctantly agrees to meet with the person who answers his brother’s ad, figuring he’ll ask the girl to the wedding and that will be it. However, it’s Ryan he ends up meeting, and he’s
NO GIRL. In fact he’s a Dom looking for a submissive, and Darcy seems to be right up his alley.

Darcy was hesitant to follow the stranger down the stairs to the basement. He wasn’t quite sure what was going on here but he was bright enough to know that it was far more than he had understood it to be. It felt as if he was speaking a different language altogether from this guy. “First,” Darcy paused, “before I go with you, tell me what’s in this room.” His voice rose an octave.

“Just some toys and restraints,” Ryan said. “It’s nothing heavy. I said that in my ad…but then…you never read it. Take a look around and if you’re not into it, we’ll call it a night. Although,” he said, coming closer and smiling at him again, “it would be a damn shame.”

Darcy shuffled a little. He felt himself grow warm. “I told you,
I’m straight, and I’m not into anything like that.”

Ryan held out his hand. “There’s no need to be embarrassed.”

Darcy swallowed. “It’s okay,” he said, ignoring the hand, “I’m coming.”

“Well you could be,” Ryan winked at him.

Darcy let out a breath, then, cleared his throat. “I’m in the wrong place, aren’t I?” He had said it more to himself than anyone, but Ryan answered. “That depends. Sometimes accidents happen
for a reason.”

Darcy took a few steps at Ryan’s heels, then, paused again. “No, I really think I’m in the wrong place. I think I might just murder Martin.”

The stairs were carpeted in chocolate brown carpeting and the floors downstairs were hard wood. There was a television room at the bottom, and a narrow corridor which lead deeper into the basement. Darcy started to panic. What if this guy was a psycho and he took him hostage down here? Hell, anything could happen. He had to be insane to come down here. He should have just left as soon as things got weird. He stopped before he came to the door at the end of the hall. Ryan turned and glanced at him, beautiful eyes coaxing him. “Come on Darcy, just check it out.”

Darcy nodded, following on Ryan’s heels. He stopped at the threshold of the room and looked around. Ryan stood before a long, padded table where hand and ankle cuffs dangled over head.

“It’s just a wooden bench with a sunk-in mattress. I built the
frame myself.”

“Jesus,” Darcy breathed. He hardly heard a word. He moved his amazed eyes from the table to the padded cuffs and restraints connected to a wooden beam beside it, and another contraption which consisted of an upright seat, stirrups and an extendable kneeling pad.

“I have a toy store in here,” Ryan announced, moving over to a huge tool chest in red aluminium with a multitude of drawers. He pulled out a huge two headed dildo.

“Oh my God,” Darcy said, taking a step back.

Ryan met Darcy’s eyes. “I don’t get you. If this isn’t your scene, why did you agree to come?”

“To get a…a date for my brother’s wedding,” he stammered.

“A date for your…” Ryan paused. “You mean you don’t want to be a sub?”

“A sub?” Darcy sighed. “What’s a…oh you mean submissive as in…oh my God, no. Can we ah…get out of here?” he asked, looking around.

“Sure,” Ryan said, waving his hand towards the door.

Darcy took the steps two at a time. At the head of the stairs, he stood in the hallway waiting for Ryan to join him. His head moved in the direction of the front door a few times as if to make sure it was still there.

“So,” Ryan asked, leaning against the wall in front of the cellar door, “you had no idea what was in my ad, did you? I thought it was just a gender mix up, but you’re telling me you’re not into this either.”

“No. Definitely not.”

“But, what do you think?” He smiled.

“It’s all been a big misunderstanding,” Darcy uttered an uncomfortable little laugh. “Look, like I told you, ah…Ryan, it’s all a big mistake. My brother wants me to bring a date to his wedding, so he answered a personal ad and gave me this address.”

“Why what?”

“Why did your brother answer a personal ad to get you a date for his wedding? A good looking man like you can’t get a date?” Ryan moved closer. He reached over and moved a piece of stray hair off of Darcy’s forehead.
