Popular Dick Hardesty Mystery Series Launches New GLBT Imprint
Austin TX — Dorien Grey’s Lambda Award-nominated mystery series featuring PI Dick Hardesty is the flagship release for Zumaya Publications’ new GLBT imprint, Zumaya Boundless.
“We’ve heard from many people in the community that there’s an interest in books that have broad appeal,” said Zumaya Executive Editor Elizabeth Burton. “Mr. Grey’s moving the Dick Hardesty series to Zumaya follows the success of his Western historical romantic suspense novel Calico, published by Zumaya in 2006. The Hardesty books have a growing reader base among mainstream mystery fans, and after talking to authors and readers we became aware there’s a market for other books that can cross boundaries—be Boundless.”
Coming soon are a new editon of Susan M. Brooks’s highly praised DIY-winning She’s the Girl and a suspense novel by British Fantasy Award-nominated author James Bennett: Unrequited.
When rugged construction worker and biker Cal Hysong is killed, Dick Hardesty knows the reason—Cal was widely suspected of deliberately spreading AIDS to other gay men.
