Waiting on Wednesday / Can’t Wait Wednesday
Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted here, at Wishful Endings, and my version is a mix of what I’m waiting to read, whether it’s a new release that is not out yet, or an older book on my TBR shelf, which I really want to read but haven’t got around to it yet.
Here’s my ‘Can’t wait to read’, book for this week:
THE GRIPPING NEW THRILLER FROM THE SUNDAY TIMES BESTSELLING AUTHOR OF MY HUSBAND’S WIFE AND THE DEAD EX
Every Monday, 49-year-old Ellie looks after her grandson Josh. She loves him more than anyone else in the world. The only thing that can mar her happiness is her husband’s affair. But he swears it’s over now, and Ellie has decided to be thankful for what she’s got.
Then one day, while she’s looking after Josh, her husband gets a call from that woman. And just for a moment, Ellie takes her eyes off her grandson. What happens next will change her life forever.
Because Ellie is hiding something in her past.
And what looks like an accident could start to look like murder…
JANE CORRY – QUEEN OF THE TWISTY THRILLER:
‘Fearsomely good’ Nicci French
‘Compulsive, edgy and with some fabulous twists that I didn’t see coming!’ B A Paris
‘Beautifully written…The Dead Ex totally hooked me’ Peter James
‘Fans of psychological thrillers will be hooked after the first page’ Closer
‘Psychological thriller writing at its very best’ SD Sykes
‘Few writers can match Jane Corry in her compelling portrayals of damaged women and their dangerous liaisons’ Cara Hunter, author of Close To Home
Sunday Times bestselling author of
#MyHusbandsWife, #BloodSisters & #TheDeadEx (out now in the UK) and #ILookedAway which comes out in the summer!
What have you been wanting to read?
Why am I looking forward to this? It sounds like such a quick and easy mistake – to look away – but for the accident to happen in those few seconds, and to then be accused of murder for life? I wouldn’t want that to happen to me!
Is this on your TBR or have you already read it? What your ‘Can’t wait for’ book? Do let me know in the comments below. Thank you!

Well damn, that blurb did not end the way I thought it would! Fab pick!!
This sounds like a fantastic thriller! I haven’t seen it before and I am very intrigued. Adding it my TBR! 🙂
Great cover! That sad shoe lying in the puddle is so ominous!
Ooh a thriller. I don’t do thrillers but my mum does. I’ll pass this on!
Great synopsis. The more I read, the more intrigued I got!

Ooh nice pick! That’s a new to me one. I hope you will love it once you read it!
Thanks for visiting my WoW!
The cover has me thinking up all sorts of conspiracy theories.
Oh my. I Looked Away sounds twisty and intense!
Sounds like quite the thriller. I agree I wouldn’t want to have something like that happen and then be accused of murder. Hope you enjoy your pick!
Whoa! Being a grandma who looks after her grandchildren, this one scares the poop out of me. I am not sure if I want to read it or not.
Oh wow, this sounds like it’s going to have lots of twists and turns. I hope you enjoy it!
