Diane Summers is the author of Parenting Outside the Box, which offers a unique view into ways that parents can communicate with each other in order to get on the same page for raising, loving and disciplining their children. She teaches classes based on her book and has taught college and high school as well as child development and teacher training classes for 33 years. She has given many workshops locally and at the state level through the National Association for the Education of Young Children. Sara Armstrong and Lillian Redding are a mother-daughter team. Lillian was born to Sara in Jinja, Uganda, Africa during the terror of the Idi Amin regime. The family escaped from Uganda in 1977 and settled in Shorter, Alabama with Sara’s parents. 18 months later, Lillian’s father died in a car accident and Lillian watched her mother struggle as a single parent. Lillian grew up, worked for 15 years in business, and eventually became an entrepreneur. She is a survivor of domestic violence and understands the challenges of being a single parent, a working mom and a stay-at-home mom. She found the courage to reach out for love and is now happily married with three amazing children. Her life experiences and passion for women’s issues led her to develop a new movement called After Me, You Come First. She and her mother co-authored a book by the same name.
