HAPPY BIRTHDAY Isaac Asimov! What is your favourite Asimov story or quote?

I’d like to share some supportive, inspirational and thought provoking quotes by Isaac Asimov, since it would have been his birthday today. He was born January 2, 1920 although according to Wiki his birthday might have been as early as October 4, 1919  He died April 6, 1992.

What is your favourite Asimov story or inspirational quote?  I have to say I, Robot really does it for me. The quotes I like are below.

Isaac Asimov was, in my opinion, a brilliant science fiction writer and scholar from the US (although Russian born). He wrote a short story collection, “I, Robot” 1950, novels “Foundation” 1951, “Foundation and Empire” 1952, “Second Foundation” 1953, “The Gods Themselves” 1972. You must keep sending work out; you must never let a manuscript do nothing but eat its head off in a drawer. You send that work out again and again, while you’re working on another one. If you have talent, you will receive some measure of success – but only if you persist.

Another favourite of mine is…

I write for the same reason I breathe – because if I didn’t, I would die.

Then there’s…

Never let your sense of morals get in the way of doing what’s right.

Thought provoking…

If knowledge can create problems, it is not through ignorance that we can solve them.
