Waiting on Wednesday / Can’t Wait Wednesday

Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted here, at Wishful Endings, and my version is a mix of what I’m waiting to read, whether it’s a new release that is not out yet, or an older book on my TBR shelf, which I really want to read but haven’t got around to it yet.

Here’s my ‘Can’t wait to read’, book for this week:

I found this on Stacking the Shelves last week and looked it up (thank you, Mary!) . Not until then did I realise that the first book one was published back in 2012, so you should read the previous “His Fair Assassin” trilogy to fully understand the world and the setting for a spectacular book binge! Even though this is hailed as the first in a new two-book series.  (If I have this correct!)

Book details

Courting Darkness (His Fair Assassin) Paperback – 21 Feb 2019

When Sybella accompanies the Duchess of Brittany to France, she expects trouble, but she isn’t expecting a deadly trap. Surrounded by enemies both known and unknown, Sybella searches for the undercover assassins from the convent of St. Mortain who were placed in the French court years ago.

Genevieve has been undercover for so many years, she no longer knows who she is or what she’s supposed to be fighting for. When she discovers a hidden prisoner who may be of importance, she takes matters into her own hands.

As these two worlds collide, the fate of the Duchess, Brittany, and everything Sybella and Genevieve have come to love hangs in the balance.

  1. Lillian @ Mom With a Reading Problem – East TN, USA – I'm a mom with a serious book addiction. This addiction started at an early age as my mom and grandmothers read to me constantly. It only grew from there as I became obsessed with the Goosebumps and BoxCar Children series. I moved from them to the classics (Little Women, Anne of Green Gables, etc.). Now I read everything! Young Adult, New Adult, Science Fiction, Fantasy, Romance, Historical based fiction and nonfiction alike, and of course I still love the classics.

Time for an epic binge! I haven’t read the series before, but I’ve heard such great things and I want to read this one….so binge it is 😉 Hope you enjoy it!

  2. fuonlyknew – Voracious reader and love to do reviews. Will review yours! Love Doritos and chocolate. A fan of furry friends. I'm afraid of things that go bump in the night! I do reviews at request when time allows. Prefer print versions but also will do ebooks. If I can stand to let them go, I use some print review copies for giveaways.. Also like doing ARC reviews to promote authors and their books. I encourage authors to comment. My reviews are posted on my blog, Amazon, Goodreads, Shelfari, Smashwords and Barnes&Noble.

All of the covers are strong and gorgeous. Look almost like classics.
