CONTEST: Christmas Angel Prize

Most people don’t even want to think about the Holidays, but they’re here nonetheless. On MySpace, many of my friends are rallying about supporting the small press authors. I agree 100%. After all, I, too, have encountered the prejudice that seems to be out there in the general readership concerning small press authors. It’s quite disconcerting when bookstores tell you they’re not interested in your titles, acquaintances say, “Oh, I’ll buy your work when you’re published by a NYC imprint.” Or people just don’t take you seriously because print-on-demand publishers aren’t considered real publishers. It’s difficult enough to promote one’s work without having to also battle these things too.

So, not only am I running a contest and promoting my work, I’m also giving a shout-out for all the other small press authors out there so they’ll glean some Holiday sales too!

Shop early, and when you do so, why not avoid the Christmas-crazed masses by shopping online? I do and I have to say that it takes a huge load of stress off of me during the rush to complete that to-buy-for gift list.

Do some early Christmas shopping through my print titles and one of my e-books, enter the contest by doing so, and while you’re at it, visit other small press authors out there and support their work too! After all, books are more economical than all the designer labels out there, lol.
