CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS: Bubblegum Romance: Call for Sweet Submissions! (xpost)

Freya’s Bower.com is launching a new category called Bubblegum Romance. Think light-hearted romances for the romance junkie who loves to read, but who doesn’t have time to read plot heavy material. Think of the Harlequin novels of 30 to 40 years ago. HEA is necessary for this category.

Submissions are now being accepted for our Bubblegum Romance category.
Word length: 20K to 50K.
Genre: Any genre, but remember to keep the plot light-hearted with a happy ending.
Content: Het, 18 and over. Keep the plot fun, humorous, and fast-paced.

Heat ratings: Sweet! Remember that the sex should be behind closed doors unless your plot has a darn good reason otherwise. These are light-hearted plots.

Submit a short synopsis with the first chapter pasted into the body of an email to submit @freyasbower.com (close the space) with the words “Bubblegum Query” in the subject line.
Pitches from established authors are welcome, but at least three chapters of the manuscript MUST be finished and polished before pitching your plot and manuscript to us.
Queries that do not follow the guidelines will be discarded. We edit by traditional NYC standards.
