Title: A Day With My DadAuthor: Lance Waite
Publication date: January 2008
Publisher: Parents Publishing Group LLC
A father and daughter spend a day together, hiking in the hills around their town. With no distractions, a bond can be built between them that can last a lifetime, in A Day With My Dad by Lance Waite. Lance followed up his debut with A Day with My Dad at The Beach, both aimed at children ages 2 to 6.
Lance wrote his books to encourage fathers to be more involved with their daughters, and to show his girls that even an ordinary day can be exciting when you share it with someone special. Both books are illustrated by Manuela Pentangelo, a member of the SCBWI who lives near Milan.
About the Author: Lance Waite was born in California in 1965 and is currently living in San Diego with his two daughters and wife Anna. Lance graduated from San Diego State University with a degree in Finance. He has spent most of his life building homes for families throughout his home town. Lance has always been interested in writing, but needed a real inspiration and the birth of his daughters has opened up a fantastic love for children and provided more than enough inspiration to live life as well as write books for children and parents to enjoy.
