The 4th in the Witches Knot series this book encompasses all the characters and adds a long lost cousin, Holly Daniels who does not even know she is a witch. She comes into danger after her mother dies and finds someone out to get her. She is saved by two unlikely heroes and is stunned to find out that vampires are real. It is not the vampires however who are the enemy but distant family members, she will need to get in touch with her cousins the Chavez witches so they can save her.
What I found delightful in this book is the uniting of family members with such different backgrounds. As with the other books in the series witches, vampires, hunters, warlocks, and fae all work together and build lasting relationships. The sex is great as well, especially the ménages. I love the dominance of Nate combined with the tenderness of Rhett. It is a great paring. I want to hear more of this family’s adventures. Since the witches are charged with keeping New Orleans safe, I am sure there could be many more stories even without adding more good guys.
