Frustrated with never being noticed by Michael Rutherford, her boss, Lily McIntyre trudges to work day in and day out hoping that one day he’ll open his eyes and see her as more than just his secretary.

Not being able to take any more of admiring from afar, Lily decides to take action and sends Michael an anonymous invitation to play at a BDSM party. For one night only Lily offers herself to him, though he is yet to realise who sent the invite, how much she fancies him, nor how keen she is to please him. Then again, Lily doesn’t expect Michael to take complete control and demand more than one night from her, and soon discovers he’s willing to do anything to convince her to do so.

I’ve not read any of Beverly Havllir’s books before, and I’m so pleased I picked this. Michael makes a firm Master, in more ways than one, and Lily submits like every good girl should. She does seem quite vanilla and jumps into the BDSM lifestyle rather quickly, however, the couple make an interesting pair, and the “will they, won’t they” theme just pushes the plot and pace further forward. For One Night Only, is an entertaining erotic story where BDSM and romance converge.
