Forever Better TogetherGuest Post
Please welcome author A.D. Ellis to Alternative-Read.com!

Sassy Brit: How did you come up with the title of your newest book?

A.D. Ellis : Forever Better Together was a theme throughout the book and it just fit.
SB:  Who designed your book covers?

ADE : Various people did my earlier books, I mostly do all of my own covers these days.

SB : Anything specific you want to tell your readers?

ADE : I always want to tell my readers THANK YOU for taking a chance on my books and sticking with me on this journey. I love that my readers love my characters as much as I do.

SB : What is your favourite part of this book and why?

ADE : I love the porn and moonshine scene. I love the strip tease scene. I love their talks with Momma and Pops. And I love the epilogue.
SB : If you could spend time with a character from your book whom would it be? And what would you do during that day?

ADE : I’d love to just chat with Momma over a cup of tea.

And Griffin and I would do make up and go shopping.
SB : Are your characters based off real people or did they all come entirely from your imagination?

ADE : Griffin is based on my best friend.

The rest of the cast are bits and pieces of real people and my imagination.

SB : Do you believe in writer’s block?

ADE : Definitely. There’s a quote from Toni Morrison: “I tell my students there is such a thing as ‘writer’s block,’ and they should respect it. You shouldn’t write through it. It’s blocked because it ought to be blocked, because you haven’t got it right now.”

Writer’s block happens. There are ways around it, but I don’t like to force it.

I will give myself permission to step away from the story.

I walk, listen to audio books, listen to music, laugh with friends, bounce ideas off writer friends, talk through the block with others, write something else, read a favorite book.

One way I often head off writer’s block is that I stop a current writing session knowing what’s coming next. I’ll stop before I reach the end of a scene or chapter and leave myself notes as to where to start back up. This makes it so the next time I open the file, I know exactly where I’m starting. I started doing this after reading a quote from Ernest Hemingway. “The best way is always to stop when you are going good and when you know what will happen next. If you do that every day when you are writing a novel you will never be stuck. That is the most valuable thing I can tell you so try to remember it.

Can best friends find true love? What if your best friend is your adopted brother?
Griffin can’t fathom his life without Quincy, but he also can’t ignore
the crazy sexual attraction buzzing between them.
When Quincy offers up a contract to determine if the sexual tension brewing between
them is worth jeopardizing their nearly decade-long friendship,
Griffin finds himself helpless to say no.
Will they lose everything they’ve found in each other, or will they seize the
opportunity to turn their friendship into something even better?
Forever Better Together is a male/male opposites attract, friends-to-lovers story with
delicious sexual tension, a sizzling hot striptease, and emotions
guaranteed to punch you in the gut.
A.D. Ellis is an Indiana girl, born and raised. She spends much of her
time in central Indiana as an instructional coach/teacher in the
inner city of Indianapolis, being a mom to two amazing school-aged
children, and wondering how she and her husband of nearly two decades
haven’t driven each other insane yet. A lot of her time is also
devoted to phone call avoidance and her hatred of cooking.
She loves chocolate, wine, pizza, and naps along with reading and writing
romance. These loves don’t leave much time for housework, much to the
chagrin of her husband. Who would pick cleaning the house over a nap
or a good book? She uses any extra time to increase her fluency in
sarcasm.
A.D. uses she/her pronouns.
